I want to go back.
This week has been life changing.
We’ve formed relationships with wonderful girls who have risen above the abuse and have become beautiful and strong women.
We have taught hilarious youth facilitators our curriculum to raise awareness about child trafficking in the PI.
We played with adorable street children who were full of happiness and joy.
I would love to come back and spend more...
Are you going to come back?

Last Day
Today, we are ending our immersion trip with a party. We will be teaching street children in the Pandacan community how to make parols, and of course, we will be Christmas partying with them (Filipino style :) ).
In addition, we are donating TONS of supplies (i.e. 3 dozen for each: toothbrushes, tolietries, towels, soap, shampoo) to the safehouse girls we met a few days ago.
Our immersion trip...
GFC in the PI?
TPP is currently exploring/setting up a Girls For A Change program for rescued trafficked girls. The girls we met a few days ago were so excited and confident in creating a change in the world, and we are planning out a possible Girls For A Change program for them.
GFC can help them gain leadership skills by creating their own service project and possibly use their experiences as means of...

Bahay Tuluyan!
TPP met with Bahay Tuluyan, an org that provides street children education and basic vocational skills, such as jewelry making. What makes Bahay Tuluyan different? They use a very special teaching method: the youth to youth approach. Former street children actually become the facilitators and teachers, and they lead activities and lessons that focus on children’s rights.
Today, we met with...

We're teaching today!
TPP is teaching recently rescued trafficked girls today. I’m super nervous! Hopefully we can connect with them and create some change.
Bags are all packed!
We’re headed on one crazy adventure.
Can you believe it?
After a year of contacting organizations across the Pacific Ocean and dreaming (literally DREAMING!) of changing the world, this trip is finally happening!
5 more days...
until the Philippines. In less than a week, we’ll be going on our very own immersion trip. :)

Yay for Fiscal Sponsorship!
The Pagkabata Project just received a fiscal sponsorship from FOCUS, an amazing local Filipino organization.
What is a fiscal sponsorship, you ask? Well, this means that TPP is a LEGIT organization that can accept tax-exempted donations! WOOT!

See you there!
